I am hesitating to recommend the Italian for this project, because most sharp lines are dubious, so I am adding these lines just for fun.

The most recent trend in 2017 is to play the modern Italian with a4 instead of retreating the bishop to b3. The idea is to save a tempo that way, because the bishop usually gets challenged again later. If things go well, then white can also save out on not playing h3.
