In the old days grabbing space by pushing the nameless g-pawn was the ultimate strategic discovery.

Nowadays it seems to be all about pushing Harry the h-pawn even if it doesn’t threaten anything concrete. After crushing Anand in 24 moves in the Scotch, Morozevich called it a “usefull pass-move”.
